Sneak Peak: Colors, Shirts, And Big Plans For 2017

Posted on February 22 2017

Today, as a small business, we wanted to express our appreciation for you- our customers, our friends, our fans, and our mentors.

Through good times and bad, we would not be here without your support, helping us spread the word about Physiclo and giving us feedback to make our products better.

We have big things planned this year, and we're excited to take the next step of this journey with you. Although we'll be making official announcements later, as dates and specifics are finalized, we wanted to give you a sneak peak of what's coming up for Physiclo in 2017:

1. New Colors (Summer/Fall)

As much as we love our solid blacks and our heather grays, it's time to get your Physiclo tights in new colors! Earlier this week we sent out a survey to all customers asking for your input, and so far the most popular colors are blue and maroon.

We plan to do a small, limited run to test out these new colors in the summer, followed by an official launch in the fall.

2. Additional Sizes (Summer)

One of our biggest goals this year is to improve our sizing system.

In the past, our sizes typically ran smaller than your average workout pants, due to the resistance tech inside. Based on your feedback we've been working on adjusting the sizing chart to make it more true-to-size.

We're also making additional sizes available later this summer, including larger sizes (3XL and 4XL) for bigger athletes as well as half-sizes (XS/S, S/M, M/L, L/XL, etc.). So for those of you who fell between two sizes before (e.g. M too small, L too big), we'll have you covered!

3. Resistance Shirts (Fall/Winter)

This is something we've been working on for a while, and we're really, really excited about it. We're not ready to reveal the prototypes just yet, but we'll be releasing some more info and actual pictures in the next couple weeks!

To help fund the production of the shirts, we'll be hosting a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter later this summer. Delivery of first Physiclo resistance shirts will be ready this Fall or early Winter!

4. Other Improvements

Along with the new colors and sizes, we're also actively exploring a couple other improvements that you've suggested to us:

  • Using stronger bands to increase the level of resistance.
  • Adding a zipper or drawstring to make the pants easier to put on and take off.
  • Improving the cut and fit of the pants to accommodate more body shapes. And also to make then more *ahem* comfortable for men.

5. Team Packages

This year, we're offering special team packages for high school, college, amateur, and professional sports teams.

Physiclo resistance gear is an excellent training tool that allows athletes to add resistance to functional movement training on the court or field. Our gear is already being used by several NCAA Division I athletic programs, in addition to the NFL combine & being tested by a couple NFL teams.

So if you're a coach, trainer, or athlete...

Or if you know of any teams who might be interested in gearing up their training days with Physiclo...

Please let us know or have them contact us:

An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto a co-worker who was doing a little homework on this. And he actually bought me dinner simply because I discovered it for him… lol. So let me reword this.

When will the resistance shirts be released?

  • Frank from Physiclo: May 11, 2017

Hi Amelia, thanks for your comments and concerns! I’m really glad that you like your new Physiclo gear.

To answer your question about the fit, yes they are supposed to be tight. Because of the resistance bands inside, it does take a few tries to figure out how to put them on the right way, but once you get used to it it’s quite easy!

There sometimes is a small dent where the bands press into your legs, which is normal. It shouldn’t be uncomfortable or even very noticeable.

    Hope this helps!

Although I want to express my concerns at the end, these pants seem AWESOME. Ive used them for just two days and there are two things I want to point out:

I have been recovering from two tiny fractures in my pelvis, so I feel this constant ache in my crotch when I walk, but after I put the pants on, something feels better.

Because of my injury I don’t do much, but with the pants (according to a Mio Slice, activity thingie) just the light walking that I do made my heart rate and calorie burning rate go up significantly.

    And my concerns:

How hard is putting the pants on supposed to be? And is it okay that they are snug enough that my leg looks a little bulgy?

I struggle a bit but my measurements are right on the M, so my concern with the struggle is damaging the fabric or the elastic.

    - Robert: Thanks! We really appreciate your support for our 1st campaign, and we’re excited to have you on board for the shirts!
    - Rael: Once we get the t-shirt down, the long-sleeve version will be next!
    - Sandy: If you’re in between sizes, I usually recommend going with the smaller one. The tighter the fit, the more resistance you get!
    - Tunisia: Noted! We’ll definitely look into adding a drawstring (or at least a separate version with a drawstring)
    - Roxanne: That means a lot to us! We’re really excited to hear that you’re improving so much :) And yes we’ll definitely be offering colors with the shirts as well
    - Kelly: Sorry, we don’t have women-specific shorts at this time. That’s something we plan to make in the near future though!
    - Heidi: Thanks very much! We’re sure you’re going to love the shirts :)

been watching since first campaign. waited to make sure, as is said, to get the bugs out.?can’t wait for the crowdfunding to start!
The reviews have been 2nd to none, thats my kind of product.

  • Rael: March 01, 2017

Make a long sleeved shirt to help climbers.

  • Sandy: February 26, 2017

I am tall and thin. I have long, thin legs. Should I buy small or medium? I usually wear small but looking at the comments I’m not sure.

  • Tunisia Stanford: February 24, 2017

I made my first purchase a little over a month ago. I’m satisfied I would be even more satisfied if you put a drawstring in your tights? To help support people like me with upper body belly issues.

  • Roxanne: February 24, 2017

Y’all have no idea how exciting this post is to me! The shirts look great! Will you offer different colors in those? Thank you so much for continuing to be awesome! Y’all have helped me improve so much! Your products are great!

  • kelly: February 24, 2017

    Is there a womens short?

  • Heidi: February 23, 2017

Very exciting Frank & Keeth! Looking forward to the shirts.

  • Frank (Physiclo): February 23, 2017

@Jan: I’d love to exchange them to an XL for you! I know our sizing chart needs work, and I apologize for the inconvenience of having to exchange them a second time. If they don’t fit this time, I’ll process a full refund for you!

  • Jan Tomon: February 23, 2017

So I first bought the medium as that is what usually fits. Couldn’t get them up past my knees. Returned them and got a large – could get them on, but if your don’t have a rocking hard body all ready, the compression bands make your body almost look deformed in some spots. So should I send the large back and try and XL (which I have NEVER worn) or just send them back for a refund? Please let me know how you can fix my problem.

  • Frank: February 23, 2017

    Thanks for your comments everyone!
    - Sean: we’ll start out with just one level in the shirt, but our next step will definitely be to create versions with different levels!
    - Lauren: love that we’re on the same wavelength :)
    - Robynn: Of course, we’ll definitely give special preference to ya’ll, and thanks so much for your support!
    - Ruth: Yup, thanks for sending us your ideas!
    - Mindi: We’ll definitely make these work for you, rest assured!
    - Geri: Inspired by your comments and feedback :)
    - CD: It’s going to be glorious, my friend!
    - Ruth: That video looks awesome, but sadly we don’t have much of a budget right now for another promo video
    - Lora: Thanks for your patience!!

  • Sean: February 23, 2017

The shirt sounds exciting! Will there be different levels of resistance in the shirt?
