1. Ride It - Solé Bicycles
Solé Bicycles, founded in in 2010 by University of Southern California students, specializes in high-quality, single-speed bicycles at a great price.
The Solé Single Speed Bicycle ($399) is a fixed-gear bike, or "fixie", which means that it doesn’t have gears or brakes. When the bike rolls, the pedals rotate, so it doesn't allow the rider to coast. The rig is built for speed, easy to maintain, and it makes for a great fitness challenge for both beginners and veterans alike.
Don't believe it? Fixed-gear training is actually a popular regimen in many cycling communities, as a way to improve both technical skill and physical condition. You can't coast, you can't shift... you just pedal. They're also super light and perfect for commuters, and you can learn some tricks on them as well!
2. Challenge Yourself - Physiclo Resistance Pants
Any great workout can be made even better with Physiclo resistance gear. Designed by an Olympic Silver Medalist fencer and medical students at NYU, these unique compression tights feature built-in resistance band technology that makes your workouts more challenging and productive than ever.
Wearing a pair of Physiclo resistance pants ($95-125) will feel like you're moving under water, increasing muscle engagement, heart rate, and calorie burn. And as a result, you can get better fitness results doing the same routines, without having to spend extra time or money on equipment.
Gear up with a pair of Physiclo shorts or tights when you're on the gear-less Solé Single-Speed Bike and you'll instantly add an extra "layer" of challenge to your ride.
3. Track Everything - Atlas Wearables
Most fitness trackers are just glorified step counters, but the Atlas Wristband 2 ($199) takes tracking your fitness to the next level.
Not only does it measure your mileage for cardio activities like running and cycling, Atlas will keep track of any exercise. That's right, this cool little wearable will automatically count and record everything, from your bicep curls to your burpees, while also measuring the amount of calories burned, heart rate, and muscle exertion. Basically, everything you'd want in a fitness tracker and a personal coaching device combined.
Unlike a Fitbit, the Atlas band even knows when you're wearing Physiclo gear to add extra resistance to your workouts!
4. Stay Hydrated - KOR Water
You can't go your hardest without proper hydration. The KOR Water Fall ($59) is a unique pour-over water filter with a truly innovative design that ensures delicious, crystal clear water. The patented, all-natural coconut shell filter is completely sustainable and will last for four months, about twice as long as your standard Brita filter.
And when you're on the go or at the gym, KOR also designs sleek sport bottles ($17-22) with their own built-in filters that transform ordinary tap water into Poland Spring. The filters are replaceable and good for 40 gallons of water each (or roughly 100-200 workout sessions, depending on how thirsty you are).
5. Get Inspired - Outside Magazine
Lastly, get inspired! Staying motivated will make or break your fitness goals, and there's no better place to get it than from reading Outside Magazine.
Whether you're in need of training tips, gear reviews, or interesting stories about amazing people doing incredible things, the writers and editors at Outside have you covered. Their mission is to inspire active participation in the world outside through award-winning coverage of the sports, people, places, adventure, discoveries, health and fitness, gear and apparel, trends and events that make up an active lifestyle.
They have a ton of free content you can check out online, or you can subscribe for their print issues ($24 for 1 year) delivered right to your door. Here's hoping that you might see Physiclo featured there in the future!

Gentlemen,
you have some serious issues with your sweeps entry page. I was unable to fill in any of the boxes there (which means the enter button also didn’t work). I am on an older model macbook here using safari 6.1 or a similar version google-chrome. I Also use a screen reader (as I happen to be blind). So, your entry form was not fillable by me at all.
btw, I am a blind athlete and am in competition. one of the ways I get chances at newer gear is entering these contests. Since it seems that I am not being allowed to do so here, I must assume that there will be no way for me to do so before the deadline.
thus, in the future, I suggest that you make your site a bit more reasonably accessible.
anyway, I can be reached back by return email or at my personal phone: (623)399-5635. I expect to hear from you soonest.
thank you.
I was never able to get the online entry form to work. :-(
With Fibromyalgia this would be better for me then just sitting around in pain, would need to work into it but love to ride

Say good-bye to the belly
Recouping from an accident, could really start a work out program. This stuff would be perfect.
Put me in coach !
I’m retired due to having a stroke so i’m not allowed to drive ever again. Having a bike would help me get around town and also get back into shape. Note: My scale has not been kind to me.
“The Solé Single Speed Bicycle ($399) is a fixed-gear bike, or “fixie”, which means that it doesn’t have gears or breaks." Yes, because if it had “breaks”, it really would need to be “fixed”.
I could really start losing weight…
This sure would help me get ready for some of this years adventures!
I need to ramp up my fitness training!
